CHRISTIE’S & EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY FESTIVAL Towards the Global Climate Auction

Founded in London in 1766 by James Christie, Christie’s is one of the world’s most prestigious auction houses, with more than 250 years at the heart of the international art world.

The European University Festival and Christie’s are working on the development of the Global Climate Auction, an ambitious international initiative aimed at supporting some of the most promising solutions to address climate change.

The goal is to bring together the worlds of art, scientific research, universities, cultural institutions and international philanthropy around a shared mission: turning ideas into concrete action for the future of our planet.

Funds raised will support the twelve winning projects of the European University Festival, selected through the Festival’s international evaluation process.

From sustainable energy and ocean protection to the circular economy and climate innovation, the selected projects will receive concrete support to transform research and innovation into real-world impact.
